Instagram is Testing a New Feature for Fundraising.
Facebook and Instagram have started testing a new feature after this feature is launched, donors can now raise funds from Facebook and Instagram for a personal cause. But both cannot directly raise funds. This feature will be available on Facebook and Instagram user profiles. Users will be able to raise funds together with donors.
Instagram has said that we are about to launch a new feature of raising funds for a personal cause, like your friend, you, and your small business will be important.
Follow the steps given below to enable you to the fundraiser for a personal reason.
- Go to Instagram “edit profile” and “Add fundraiser” and after that “Raise Money”.
These features will now be available in select countries and in the supported currency fundraiser category. Instagram will be allowed to add details of the eligible cause to raise funds, after that you can click on send fundraiser to raise funds, once approved, users can raise funds in 30 days, you can extend its date.
Donors can also send money to funders with this feature, and in this feature, they have also been given the option to hide their details from the public, but in these features, the fund can see the details of the donor and the amount donated.
These new features of Facebook and Instagram will be first available in the United States of America, United Kingdom, and Ireland after launch, people from these three countries will be able to raise funds, although people from 34 countries will also be involved, people from these 34 countries will also be allowed to donate funds and the feature will be available on Facebook, Instagram app, both Android and iOS.
Note: Donors must be over 18 years of age. And Facebook and Instagram payment partners can support payment by Stripe.
The Stripe payment gateway accepts 135 currency, then the platform can only be donated in 135 currency.
